Event Type: Routing engine OS upgrades
Description: As part of proactive network maintenance and in response to a recent routing engine stall, the partner data centre will be performing JunOS upgrades in line with Juniper’s recommended upgrade path. This upgrade is critical to ensuring network stability, security, and performance.
Risk: While we will ensure these are kept to a very minimum, service disruptions should be expected as mastership toggling is required. The total service-impacting downtime will not exceed 60 minutes across the entire maintenance window.
Impact: Low. Control-plane failovers may cause temporary routing reconvergence, leading to brief connectivity disruptions.
Action required: We advise all users to ensure a backup of their virtual machines and data is taken prior to the maintenance window and on a regular basis.
